At last ! I have been stalking this bird for the past several months and finally today it emerged for a few seconds from deep in the Mangroves to perch in view. We observed it hiding several feet back in the mangroves and sure enough, with a little patience, it was in view long enough for a shot. Notoriously difficult to photograph, this will be one of my favorite Birds of Mayakoba !
