Bordado de vestido yucateco (terno o hipil). Exposición del Gran Museo del Mundo Maya, Mérida, Yucatán, México. *Mayan women in towns still use their traditional dress called "hipil", "huipil" or "terno". During cultural activities and celebrations, women of all ages dress in their huipil and show off the Mayan weaving. It is said they learned embroidery from the spaniards in XVI century. In difference with other traditional dresses in Mexico the designs are more european style and very colorful. www.merida.gob.mx/turismo/contenido/cultura_in/traje.htm
