My little cabana at El Panchan, Palenque in the state of Chiapas, Mexico. El Panchan is a forest community which is situated right by the entrance to Palenque National Park. The park consists of the archaelogical site of Palenque, once an important and powerful Mayan city which flourished from around 100 BC to 600 AD, as well as an area of protected rainforest.
