Templo de los Cinco Pisos

Edzná was an old Mayan town in Yucatan (Mexico), near Campeche. Edzná was already inhabited in 400 BC and was it abandoned round 1500 AD. The ruins were from AD 550 to X century and have elements of the Puuc style. The Temple of Five Levels (Edificio de los Cinco Pisos) of 31 meters high preside the Great Acropolis. A great central staircase of 65 steps goes right to the top. The specialist thinks the pyramid is a hybrid of a temple and a palace.
