Columns, colonnade, south building covering the façade.very well made post and lintel construction. This low building is one of the four sides of the Quadrangle of the Birds. The name Quadrangle of the Birds was given because of the figures of macaws decorating the west building. This courtyard has on its east side the stairway and west wall of the Pyramid of the Magician. It takes its name from the friezes along the roof, which some scholars think simulate the thatched roofs of Mayan houses, others feather-like patterns. It may have been housing for soldiers. Uxmal
