This colonial mansion was designed by the architect of the Payanés Marcelino Pérez de Arroyo in a neo-classical style. Beginning in 1906, it was the residence of the Colombian poet Guillermo Valencia Castillo (1863-1943). Upon his death, the Colombian state acquired the property and created the Museo Nacional Guillermo Valencia. The interior remains unchanged and features lots of period furniture.
