This is the sacrificed captain of one team offering his already cut off head to the captain of the other team. Interestingly, the captain of the best team would be sacrificed because the ancients wanted the best of the best to be the one who sent the message to the Gods. So sometimes being a loser wasn’t that bad. Skull in the middle represents death which was very important to the ancients.
