The Sacred Cenote at Chichén Itzá. This cenote was used by Maya cultures living in Chichén Itzá for sacrifice rituals. This to worship and please their rain god, Chaac. Researchers like E.H. Thompson started dredging this cenote in the early 20th century and besides human remains they found, gold, pottery, copper, jade, incense and the first Maya cloth and weapons.
