This is a view of what was effectively the back side of the temple; the main staircase was on the opposite side, which makes sense because that side fronted on Becan's main plaza. There was also a small, steep, and somewhat hidden staircase that led up to the top from the right side of the building in this photograph. that was believed to have been used by priests.
