Quinta Montes Molina, at P.º de Montejo 469, was built in 1902 for Cuban-born Don Aurelio Portuondo y Barceló. The property, originally known as "Villa Beatriz" was sold to Avelino Montes Linaje, a Spaniard who prospered during the henequen boom. Today both the mansion and its antique furnishings are available to the public as a museum and for private events.
