The scene shows a warrior holding a spear and a shield; the weapon is decorated with rhombuses from the tip to the handle. He stands on a band that might represent the entrance to a cave. Below, a figure seems to be removing the skin from a dee, whose ribs are exposed. Deer sacrifice was practiced in agricultural ceremonies and the tamales prepared with its meat were a common offering to the gods. Futthermore, deers symbolised prisoners of war, because during battles men became captives, who at the hands of their captors, were immolated in honor of the deities.
