The phrase "God is in the details" has been attributed to a range of sources: architect Mies van der Rohe, art historian Aby Warburg, author Gustave Flaubert or, according to Bartlett, an anonymous source. Despite the debate about the source of the quotation it's a philosophy we followed during the meticulous restoration of Hacienda Petac. Old beams, stone, wood, and iron were collected, restored, and carefully integrated to recreate the Hacienda's original feel. Each room was detailed with understated elegance in mind; achieved through the inclusion of decorated tile, original paint colors, and colonial antiques.
