The building enclosing the cenote at the Templo de San Bernardino de Siena and the Convento de Sisal. The cenote is a deep natural well common in the Yucatan peninsula that results when the limestone bedrock collapses, exposing subterranean pools. The Franciscans built the structure around the cenote when they built the convent in the mid-1500s.(Vea tambien Cartagena Colonial bit.ly/Q9toT3)
