Chac Mool and The Jaguar Throne Inside El Castillo "The Castle", "The Pyramid of Kukulkan", or the "Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl" is the most impressive structure in Chichen Itza a masterpiece of the Toltec-Maya architectural genius.. During the spring equinox the feathered serpent god, Kukulcan, crawls down the side of the pyramid, Under the northern staircase there is a small stairway into a temple within the pyramid, the inner temple features a Chac Mool and a Jaguar Throne, the room is no longer availible to the public. Chichen Itza was a focal point from the Late Classic (c.600–900 AD) through the Terminal Classic (c.800–900) and into the early portion of the Early Postclassic period (c.900–1200) These are long forgotten, rediscovered photographs, from February 14, 2003 in Yucatan, Mexico.
