    • Image Description: The Temple of Kukulkan or "El Castillo" (The Castle) as it is commonly called is one of the main pyramids of the Chichen-Itza archeological site. One of it's main features is that on the spring and autumn equinoxes the sun casts a shadow over the steps that makes it look as if the serpent is moving up or down. This images is a composite of two separate images. The background is one of my pictures from Big Bend with the milkyway visible. The foreground is the Castle and the Temple of the Warriors during the light and sound show at Chichen-Itza.
