George shot this one. We were trying to respect her privacy. (I can't get used to taking pictures of strangers [especially "interesting" ones] without permission, especially of indigenous people who have been taken advantage of for too long to sell magazines, and goodness knows what else.) I was fascinated by, and appreciative of, her handmade brooms, of which she was carrying ten or twelve!. But I don't speak fluent Spanish, and we were rushed. Had I been at home, I would gladly have purchased one or two of her beautiful, palm-leaf creations. She wears the typical huipil of her region of Yucatan.
